November 30th and Day 30 on the Road

We have been on the road for 30 days!! I still cannot believe we rode our motorcycles to Colombia.

We left our hotel this morning and headed south and west towards Calli. About halfway there, we were stopped by the police, informing us the road was closed and we had to take a detour. After trying to make sure we understood his directions, the cop got on his moto and showed us the way. Yes, we had a police escort and it was pretty awesome!

We took this paved (thank god!) country road through the jungle. Bamboo and thick foliage lined the roadways. It amazes me that we were in the mountains a few short hours earlier.

I have no idea how many miles we went today. We stopped for the night in Roldanillo. When you look at the map, it is not that far from where we started the day. Unfortunate, but a great day of riding nonetheless.
