October 31st: Poetry in Motion

Getting our game faces on for riding in the rain.

Today our team personified “poetry in motion.” We rode so in tune with each other, changing lanes together in perfect harmony. Our team never rode together until this trip, yet it feels like we have been riding our whole lives together. Each keeping our lines and always looking out for one another.

Overall, we went 465 miles. Started out the day in the rain. Because every bike trip includes rain riding. By mid day the rain let up but stayed chilly and dreary. Will we ever see warm, sunny weather? How far south do we have to go!? Tomorrow we head close to the US-Mexico border, and will likely cross into Mexico on Monday.

Two days in and the first 1,000 miles down. Only 19K more to go!!
