Known as the “Jewel Box of the Midwest,” Cave of the Mounds is a great day trip to explore this natural wonder.

So close to the US border, and I get a flat rear tire. At least it’s an easy fix since I did bring tire tubes with me.

Crossing back over the Darien Gap we ran into a paperwork nightmare in Panama that took days to sort out before continuing back North on the Pan American highway.
